Ever since I can remember I have wanted to work with animals. When I was younger working as a zookeeper looked interesting but I realized I wanted more hands on training with a wide variety of animals. This led me to wanting a career in Animal Training.
My interest in animals includes marine life as well as exotic animals. I went to Sea World Career Camp for three years and highly recommend it for young people wanting to learn more about Marine Mammals.
At this point my goal is to attend Moorpark College and their EATM Program (Exotic Animal Training and Management). I would then like to become an animal trainer for the movie industry.
My experience with animals is quite diverse. I spent 5 years working at ResQcat where I volunteer and help find homes for abandoned cats. I have also worked at the Marine Mammal Center where I volunteer and helped save and relocate Sea Lions, Fur Seals, Harbor Seals and Elephants Seals.
I also had an apprenticeship with two trainers:
Peggy Hogan (www.TheBestWhisperIsAClick.com) and
Andrea Frick (www.K9sbehave.com)
They have taught me to work with horses (both full sized and miniature), miniature donkeys, rabbits, alpaca, dogs, and chickens.
Since my experience is expanding daily feel free to check on my progress. Thanks for visiting my site!
